One Demand Data & Analytics (ODDA) is a Mars Wrigley program that harnesses the power of data and insights to solve some of the critical business-wide problems we face – unlocking quality growth and operational excellence.

Through ODDA, we deliver connected insights across the entire demand ecosystem. We empower our Associates with the right data, tools and capabilities so they can take decisive action, maximizing value and making a meaningful impact on our consumers, our customers and our business.

The purpose of this role is to drive successful development of advanced analytics solutions globally in the Category Analytics area as part of One Demand Data and Analytics program. This involves engaging with local business users to define the right problems, leading data scientists and insights analysts (internal as well as external) to drive the right advanced analytics solution creation, evangelizing a data-driven decision-making culture across Mars Wrigley by fostering a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving, and create value by enabling consumption of advanced analytics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and holds advanced analytics vision for Category Analytics, is responsible for working with business stakeholders to determine what solutions will be prioritized.

  • Work in harmony with the Global and Regional Category teams to prioritise analytic solutions and with the Functional Business Partnerships team to productionize advanced analytics tools.

  • Drive insights ensuring that the capabilities are driving actions and are embedded in the decision making process in the business.

  • Shape and prioritize backlog, utilizing business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translate requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria.

  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost and improving delivery efficiency.

  • Act as the “voice of the customer” within the team to ensure the team “builds the right thing”.

  • Accountable for shaping and hitting team OKRs.

  • Drive continuous improvement across the analytical product lifecycle.

  • Drive engagement with third parties to support delivery of team objectives.

  • Work closely with other ODDA product pillar leaders as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-team tasks.

  • Drive reporting and analytics to provide visibility on team performance and monitor sprint metrics and user results.

Context and Scope

  • Enabling & Refining the operating model for One Demand Data & Analytics in partnership with the Global Category Team and Functional Business Partnership team.

  • Collaborating with functional experts on an ongoing basis to ensure quality delivery for the global digital transformation program.

  • Ensure knowledge and best practices sharing across segments and markets to ensure reusability and improving analytical maturity.

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Significant prior experience in analytics.

  • Experience in Consumer Goods Industry required.

  • Prior experience within the Category or Sales space required.

  • Master's degree in Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields preferred.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience with Category Analytics such as:

    • Range Optimisation

    • Category Vision

    • Store of the Future capabilities

  • Ability to work with large and complex data sources (EPOS, Perfect Store, Image Recognition Data etc.)
