Enterprise Applications & Analytics Portfolio Manager (Fixed-Term Contract - Maternity Cover)

What are we looking for?

Mars Global Services (MGS) remains a critical enabler for Mars Inc. delivering business value through industry best processes, technologies & data insights. As part of Digital Technologies, the Enterprise Applications & Analytics team partners closely with the Corporate & MGS service lines to deliver key strategic priorities enabled through ‘best in class’ technologies & capabilities.

Program & project management continues to fundamental capabilities supporting such significant digital change, and as a result this has created an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Manager to join the Digital Technologies Enterprise Applications & Analytics (EAA) team. This role will be responsible for operating the EAA Portfolio Management Office & Centre of Excellence (CoE), embedding industry best PMO standards across the function & driving consistency through CoE capabilities .

This role will be for a fixed period to cover responsibilities of existing associate on maternity leave.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Continue to embed portfolio management operating model.
  • Continuously evaluating portfolio risks, dependencies and opportunities to ensure projects are meeting PMO standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  • Own and further develop on key reporting standards & dashboards
  • Track integrated strategic roadmap across DT Commercial, Finance & Enterprise Analytics.
  • Lead monthly portfolio review process, delivering portfolio insights & trend analysis.
  • Manage small team of 3rd party contractors, supporting reporting & insights metrics.
  • Lead the Portfolio Centre of Excellence (CoE), own portfolio mgmt. platforms & tools.
  • Manage EAA IT stage gate approval process with Mars Finance teams – assuring SDCL IT Controls are are being met by the requesting projects/programs.
  • Drive standardization and adoption of PfMO processes across the EAA team, in partnership with enterprise & segment PMO teams (e.g. MGS Portfolio Leads & functional PMO leads).
  • Maintain high quality IT governance processes for technical delivery lead by Enterprise Applications & Analytics teams (e.g. Digital Core, Continuous Improvement/BAU etc).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with PMO stakeholders and wider network.
