As Mars Pet Nutrition transforms its growth, we’re putting the pet parent at the heart of everything we do. The Insights Capabilities Director plays a crucial role in this transformation, leading a team of associates to drive the overall impact and effectiveness of the Central Insights team. This role is essential for fostering innovation, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring the successful delivery of insights that shape our strategies and initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.
  • 10+ years in market research, insights, or consulting with significant leadership experience.
  • Proven success in leading and managing teams, with a strong track record of building and nurturing talent and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to pilot and scale new approaches, tools, and methodologies across teams.
  • Strong strategic agility, with the ability to flex between a wide variety of domains.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate topics to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to set a compelling vision for the team, aligning innovation initiatives with business goals and driving long-term strategic planning.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Champion the Insights Transformation: Lead key transformation initiatives to drive organizational change and impact. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for insights initiatives. Provide updates and reports to senior leadership on the progress of insights initiatives and team performance. Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, tools, and methodologies. Ensure effective communication around changes to minimize disruption and maximize engagement.

    Enable the Team: Maintain budget oversight, including contracting and purchase order generation. Coordinate and align learning plans, manage the learning and development agenda, ensure effective knowledge management practices, and enhance insights through design and storytelling.

    Build Internal and External Partnerships: Manage the Global Insights Council, fostering connections with regional teams to enable the global insights agenda. Spearhead quarterly community calls, team meetings, and communications plans. Create strategic relationships with key vendor partners, facilitate onboarding, and manage pilots with new partners.

    Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators to measure the success and impact of the insights team. Utilize data to drive decision-making and continuously improve insights processes and outcomes.

    Team Leadership: Lead a team of four associates, cultivate a high-trust, diverse, and specialist culture within the team. Coach and develop the team to achieve overall goals. Support talent acquisition efforts to build a strong and capable insights team.
