Inbound Supply Planner
King’s Lynn
£31,000 - £38,500 + 8% bonus
The purpose of this job is to order raw materials and consumables for our Kings Lynn Food factory from our suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
This role is a great opportunity to work closely with operations, the warehouse, and the site scheduler to get a broad understanding of the factory; as well as deepen your SAP understanding. The role has a large impact on factory efficiency as well as adherence to schedule and therefore service level to the market.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Operational
Ensure the availability of Raws and Consumables with no impact on factory planning
Take ownership of control blocked and aged stock.
Optimize order quantities by making a trade-off between fixed order costs and storage costs, taking into account the scrap risk.
Co-ordinate new raw material introductions in close co-operation with Activity Management and PPPI (Product, Packaging and Process Implementation).
Daily use of the SAP ATLAS system to manage and control movements of stock, managing stock levels, procurement and identifying improvement areas.
Co-ordinate documentation required and the management of importing goods into the UK from EU and rest of world, this includes duty management.
What are we looking for?
Relevant experience in Logistics or Operations.
Understanding of manufacturing environment.
Customer service/telephone skills.
Capable Excel user or knowledge of Excel functionality.
SAP systems knowledge preferred – or other relatable systems experience.
