Global Director, Strategic Sourcing – Digital Technologies (IT)

Location: Slough

Salary: £89,000-£109,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Hybrid Working- 50% at Site

As a Global Director, Strategic Sourcing at Mars, you will be accountable for building and implementing the software category strategy, as well as closely business partnering with the Mars Snacking CIO and Technology Corporate Functions CIO (and their teams) for all of their commercial needs. This role will also sit on the Digital Technologies Commercial Lead Team and will play a vital role in driving the overall DT Commercial team forward.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and execute the category strategy for software using the Mars framework and the appropriate tools.
  • Participate as a member of the Global Digital Technologies Commercial Leadership Team and establish/maintain working relationships with the Global Sourcing Managers and Sourcing Excellence Team.
  • Understand business goals and what success “looks like” to drive maximum business value.
  • Establish strong working relationships with major technology suppliers to marry up business goals with supplier capabilities.
  • Line Management of 3 Global Sourcing Managers in global locations to coordinate workload and support their development plans.
  • Build sourcing category expertise to provide market and financial insights and inputs to the operating plan.
  • Execute BAU sourcing initiatives, as well as major transformational initiatives as needed.
