This role is a project-based transformation role and has a current expected end date of ‘31st December 2026’. As we move closer to ‘31st December 2026’ we will work with you to explore other opportunities for employment within the Mars family of companies. Join us as the Global Director ERP Data Migration where you'll drive the migration of Mars Snacking and shared enterprise data from legacy systems to our advanced SAP environment, including S/4 HANA, MDG, PLM, and Central Finance. As a vital member of the SAP Data Transformation Team within the Mars Snacking Chief Data Office Organization, you’ll develop and implement a comprehensive data migration strategy that outlines roles, responsibilities, and technology solutions to ensure seamless transitions into future-state solutions.
In this pivotal role, you will coordinate data quality and migration activities across all phases of implementation, establishing a Data Migration Factory that collaborates closely with the Architecture Team to confirm target data models and create tailored migration plans. Your expertise will ensure high-quality data migration, as you design and implement processes for extracting, cleansing, transforming, and validating necessary data.

What are we looking for?
- Educational Background: BS or MS in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Extensive Experience: Bring 10+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years in management roles, and at least 3 years leading full lifecycle Data Migration projects.
- Enterprise Data Migration Expertise: Possess significant experience with enterprise data migration, specifically with SAP S/4 HANA, MDG, PLM, and Central Finance.
- Proven Expertise: Leverage your extensive knowledge in Data Profiling, Data Quality, and Data Migration strategies, backed by a strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Security, Metadata Management, and Master Data Management.
- Hands-On Experience: Apply your practical expertise with SAP software platforms (e.g., PLM, MDG, ERP) and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) to effectively tackle complex data migration challenges.
- Familiarity with Advanced Tools: Utilize your experience with Syniti (BackOffice Associates) Data Migration tools to significantly contribute to our data transformation efforts.
- Data Quality Understanding: Ensure high standards of data integrity by applying your knowledge of the 6 Dimensions of Data Quality—Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Validity, and Uniqueness.
- Dynamic Environment Adaptability: Navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Strong Communication Skills: Engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including international partners, using your excellent English communication skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Enhance team initiatives through your familiarity with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
- Agile Leadership Experience: Drive agile product management efforts and collaborate with scrum teams to foster innovation and operational efficiency.
- Motivated Self-Starter: Exhibit a proactive approach to your work, complemented by strong time management skills and a commitment to professional growth and flexibility for travel.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Strategic Data Migration Leadership: Take charge of crafting and executing a comprehensive data migration strategy for your segment, ensuring alignment with the overall objectives of our SAP program.
- Innovative Planning and Implementation: Lead the planning and implementation of cutting-edge data migration strategies for key applications such as S/4 HANA, MDG, PLM, and Central Finance, driving transformation across the organization.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Partner with Senior Leadership and SMEs to thoroughly identify and document data migration requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the migration are well understood and articulated.
- Data Quality Oversight: Develop and implement robust processes and procedures for monitoring data quality, completeness, redundancy, compliance, enhancement, and remediation, fostering a culture of data excellence.
- Coordinating Migration Activities: Manage and coordinate all data migration activities and tasks, ensuring timelines are met and resources are effectively utilized for optimal results.
- Team Development and Mentorship: Inspire and mentor a team of data migration specialists, cultivating their skills and guiding them through the complexities of the migration process.
- Consulting Staff Oversight: Oversee the work of supplemental data migration consulting staff, ensuring their efforts align with project goals and quality standards.
- Data Cleansing and Deduplication: Direct efforts in data cleansing and deduplication to enhance data integrity and ensure a seamless migration experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless data migration between source and target systems, breaking down silos and fostering teamwork.
- Execution of Test Migrations: Lead the execution of test migrations, using data validation results to refine and enhance the migration process, ensuring readiness for full-scale implementation.
- Enforcement of Data Standards: Uphold and enforce established data standards and best practices, instilling a commitment to excellence throughout the data migration journey.
