Join Our Team: Corporate SRA Director – Health & Nutrition

As a leader in this space, we are seeking a Corporate SRA Director – Health & Nutrition to partner with our business and ensure we are proactively navigating these shifts to achieve our ambitious goals.

About the Role
The Corporate SRA Director – Health & Nutrition will work closely with our teams across the business, leading the charge on key scientific and regulatory topics, ensuring Mars is ready to meet the demands of the future. This role focuses on horizon scanning, staying ahead of regulatory changes, and developing strategic tools to enhance SRA capabilities across the company.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • SRA Subject Matter Expertise: Focus on key health & nutrition areas that require a cross-segment SRA approach to safeguard Mars' operations and open new business opportunities. Ensures a high level of internal and external connectivity.

  • Emerging Topics: Stay ahead of issues like ultra-processed foods, the gut-brain axis, and nutrient density, ensuring Mars is a leader in these important spaces.

  • Issues/Opportunity Management: Identify and communicate emerging issues and opportunities, driving proactive action across teams including development, deployment and communication of Mars SRA positions, advocacy tools, and topic specific resources.

  • Cross-functional Leadership: Lead collaboration with various internal stakeholders across different business units to develop and implement SRA strategies, ensuring a unified, science-based approach in international fora.

  • External Network Management: Cultivate relationships with key external networks internationally to ensure Mars' SRA agenda is informed by the latest scientific and regulatory advancements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: A minimum BSc in nutrition, food science, veterinary sciences, or a related field. A preferred MSc or PhD in nutrition or a closely related field.

  • Experience: At least 10 years in SRA, with deep knowledge of scientific and regulatory trends in human and/or pet food health and nutrition.

  • Skills: Experience in horizon scanning, managing large programs, and building strategic external networks. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive large-scale initiatives.
