If you want to shape this journey and have a tangible impact on how climate change unfolds, we are looking for a Student Assistant to join the Energy Transition Execution team. The team manages the strategy to reduce emissions of Maersk’s landside logistics business spanning across road, barge and rail transportation and warehousing services.

As a Student Assistant you will be a key support for our Energy Transition Execution Managers who are working closely together with Global, Regional Area teams to facilitate and support the Energy Transition for our Maersk Landside Logistics activities worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Support in business and emission analysis around e.g. emissions, operational and financial data that will enable decision-makers to prioritize decarbonisation opportunities

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing from Energy Transition Execution to the global Maersk organization as well as developing presentation material to be used in management reporting, internal communication and training

  • Engage with our regional and area teams to gather information around progress towards 2030 targets and consolidate for a global view

The position is part-time (about 20 hours/week) and based in Copenhagen. You will have an opportunity to influence your daily routine and weekly schedule

Anticipated start date is June 1, 2025

We are looking for

The ideal candidate is a final year bachelor or first year master’s student in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, Sustainability or other relevant fields. Some of the things, we look for in a candidate include:

  • Strong academic performer with great analytical skills and an ability to break down complex issues

  • Passionate about the energy transition agenda and curiosity to learn new things

  • Ability to prioritize assignments, handle ambiguity and manage short deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills and high ability to work well with others

  • Well versed in Excel and Power Point
