Job Description

Senior Project Coordinator

We are seeking professionals for roles in Fulfillment & Logistics Operations Execution to manage and execute inventory, warehouse, and fulfillment activities across various warehouse types (CFS, CY, inland depots, bonded warehouses, etc.) owned or operated by Maersk. The role includes planning, execution, and coordination, with distribution handled by carrier management.

Ideal candidates are individual contributors who apply technical and disciplinary knowledge to achieve results. While not primarily focused on people management, responsibilities may include mentoring or supervising less experienced staff and overseeing processes. Candidates should have expertise in their field, with the ability to influence long-term organizational decisions.

Progression in this role involves deepening professional knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to impact others' decisions. Candidates will work independently within defined guidelines but may require support on more complex tasks. Practical knowledge of methods, work procedures, and process application is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate OOG import and export shipments.
  • Issue delivery orders to trucking carriers and warehouses.
  • Ensure cargo is delivered on time and customer is kept informed of any changes or delays.
  • Help to mentor and train fellow team members on OOG cargo operations.
  • Be the first point of contact for team operational issues that need to be escalated to project manager.
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Obtain and negotiate quotes from vendors.

Experience & skills Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required), Bachelors Degree (preferred, but not required)
  • 5+ years of operations experience in project freight forwarding
  • Experience with breakbulk, RORO, and OOG flat rack shipments.
  • Experience with CargoWise is preferred.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Import/Export documentation
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

  • A solid understanding of logistics cost management

  • Quoting logistics shipments
  • Negotiation skills.

Salary:

$70,000 - $80,000*
