Job Description

As the Hub Service Planning Lead, you will lead a team of Cargo Flow Optimisation operators in Tanjung Pelepas, ensuring cost-efficient and smooth cargo operations for transshipment. Join our Regional Hub Operations Center and take charge of capacity planning for Maersk's largest transshipment hubs. You'll ensure quick resolution of contingencies to maintain customer satisfaction and collaborate with colleagues to enhance global standards and processes.
In this role, you have an opportunity to engage with terminal management and commercial teams across the Asia Pacific region to resolve cargo incidents and meet specific customer requests. You will drive cost leadership and maintain high service levels while achieving performance targets and leading improvement initiatives.
This role is based in Johor, Malaysia.

Key responsibilities
Lead and develop the Cargo Flow Optimization team.
Manage capacity planning for efficient container loading.
Oversee cargo transhipment connections for Maersk vessels.
Ensure accurate, timely load, discharge, and transshipment operations.
Execute operational contingencies with a focus on customer impact and cost.
Foster a cost-conscious mindset and optimize operations.
Collaborate with terminal operators to improve standards.
Challenge and enhance Maersk global standards.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to reduce costs, enhance customer experience, and optimize processes.
Recommend improvements to the Hub Service Planning team.
Meet terminal vendors regularly for feedback and performance discussions.
We’re looking for
Charismatic leader with excellent communication skills, capable of working in dynamic operations.
Excel in growing their team and building professional relationships, have a mindset focused on standardization and continuous improvement, and aim to provide cost-efficient, end-to-end services.
The candidate should be strategic, solution-oriented, passionate about customers and operations, eager to learn, and ambitious for growth.
Experience in operations (cargo flow / stowage planning / capacity management / transhipment) and leadership is highly preferred.
