As a Risk Manager at LI, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and managing risks that may affect LI Ltd.'s operations, assets, and reputation. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Risk Identification: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across the company’s main business functions, utilising risk software products. Identify potential risks impacting LI Ltd as a corporation, including operations, service, programme, finance, data, products and strategic intent.
- Risk Analysis: Analyse and evaluate the potential impact and likelihood of identified risks using quantitative and qualitative methods. Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and optimise business outcomes.
- Risk Monitoring: Continuously monitor and review internal and external factors that may influence risk exposure. Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks relevant to the livestock industry.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks.
- Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. Provide guidance and support to stakeholders in implementing effective risk controls and action plans.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present risk assessment reports, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and risk profiles to the company’s Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee, senior management and relevant stakeholders. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of risk-related information.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise risk awareness among employees. Promote a risk-conscious culture and provide guidance on risk management best practices.
- Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan to address potential crises, emergencies, or incidents. Coordinate response efforts and conduct post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, auditors, and business partners, to ensure effective risk management practices and address any concerns or inquiries.
- Continuous Improvement: Work alongside the Continuous Improvement Service Manager to monitor the effectiveness of risk management processes and identify areas for improvement. Propose and implement enhancements to optimise risk management practices and increase efficiency.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of risk management principles are essential.
- Proven experience as a Risk Officer or in a similar role, preferably in the public, data or agricultural sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Sound understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools, software, and data analysis techniques.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining our core values of Transparent, Accountable, Committed and Team (TACT).
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Certified Risk Professional (CRP)
- Internal Audit experience
- Experience in ‘Resolver’ software or similar
