The Role
As a Solutions Architect for leighton, your primary focus will be on delivering enterprise solutions that address our customers' business challenges. Working closely with our customers, stakeholders, developers, and other technical teams, you will design and implement solutions that align with our customers' goals, ensuring scalability, performance, and security while meeting their specific needs.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect with a strong customer-first mindset and deep expertise in Microsoft 365, business applications, and modern workplace solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, enabling business transformation, and shaping the future of enterprise technology by tailoring solutions to deliver measurable value for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical architectures leveraging Microsoft 365 and/or associated technologies.
- Design end-to-end solutions that incorporate Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, and Azure AD, to drive business efficiency and collaboration.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for the adoption and integration of Microsoft 365 solutions across the enterprise.
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, solution designs, and technical documentation.
- Drive the implementation of governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and industry standards.
- Lead technical spikes and evaluate solution options based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft 365 with existing enterprise applications and infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Microsoft technologies and provide recommendations for their adoption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations and security, to ensure the reliability and security of Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineering team members, sharing best practices in Microsoft 365 solution design and implementation.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role with a strong focus on Microsoft 365.
- Expertise in designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, particularly in identity and access management (Azure AD) and integrations with Microsoft 365.
- Proficiency in developing and deploying Power Automate workflows and PowerApps for business process automation.
- Familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks for Microsoft 365.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, including scalability, performance, and security.
- Experience integrating Microsoft 365 with third-party tools and existing enterprise applications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft licensing models is a plus.
