The Role
As a Software Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the technical architecture of software solutions. Working closely with our customers, stakeholders, developers, and other architects, you will ensure that all solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with overarching business objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect to join an agile team and make a significant impact by driving innovation and delivering high-quality, future-focused software architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements.
- Design and maintain high-level technical architecture for ongoing projects and future initiatives.
- Prepare and present architectural blueprints and documentation using tools like Confluence, M365, and GitHub.
- Lead technical spikes and evaluate solutions against agreed technical and non-functional requirements.
- Identify, analyse, and mitigate technical risks throughout the architecture and development process.
- Provide hands-on development support and mentor development team members to ensure best practices in software architecture.
- Ensure architectural decisions comply with governance frameworks.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Flexibility to travel to our customers sites
- Proven experience as a Software Architect in an agile environment.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices (e.g., Clean Architecture).
- Expertise in full-stack development with skills in:
- Essential: JavaScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs.
- Desirable: Cloud Foundry, SAP BTP, iOS, Android.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence and GitHub.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance technical decisions with business priorities.
