Job Description

Who are we?

Ki is the biggest global insurance tech company you’ve never heard of, unless you’ve been looking to insure a satellite, wind farm or music festival recently.
We launched in 2021 on the back of a fundraise that delivered $500m of investment, making us one the largest fintech start-ups that year. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. Having written over $400m of GWP in 2021, we have continued to rapidly scale, with 200% YoY growth to end of June 2022. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers cover risks in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and that’s where you come in - we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities. If helping us transform a multi-billion global industry sounds exciting to you, read on.

What you’ll be working on

You’ll join us in this vital role as Financial Controller, bringing solid Insurance knowledge and a track record of success within an Insurance organisation (Lloyd’s market desirable but not essential). You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of Ki’s financial reporting and finance operations team, including:
- Ensuring that appropriate levels of control are exercised over all accounting and financial issues relating to Ki to meet all reporting requirements.
- Ensuring that all internal and external reporting is delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Leading the accounting and control processes at Ki and the analysis and implementation of changes to accounting requirements.
- Playing a senior role in various Group and Finance Projects.
As a member of Ki’s Senior Leadership Team, you’ll lead in your area of expertise while contributing beyond your areas of specialism to the overall business leadership. You’ll bring alive the Ki Values in your ways of working and play an active role in the ongoing development of the Ki culture.

Our culture

Inclusion & Diversity is at the heart of our business at Ki. We recognise that diversity in age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, thought and social background bring richness to our working environment. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, or who you love, we believe you should be you.
You’ll get a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package. This is kept under constant review to make sure it stays relevant. We understand the power of saying thank you and take time to acknowledge and reward extraordinary effort by teams or individuals.
