Head of Data and Insights


Salary:
Up to £80k basic, 10% annual bonus, plus share options Location: UK remote, however, would require frequent travel to London Bridge HQ and client sites.

About the role:
The Head of Data and Insights is a game-changer, driving innovative data strategies, building cutting-edge analytics, and delivering insights that empower smarter decisions and fuel business growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Transformation Officer or Transformation Director, you’ll be at the heart of transforming the data culture at Instant Impact. This is your chance to elevate our organisation by putting data into action, creating meaningful change, and opening doors to C-Suite conversations with our clients.

2024 is our launchpad year for ambitious data evolution, and we’re just getting started. We’re on the hunt for a dynamic leader with expertise in data strategy, analytics, AI, and engineering. You’ll be instrumental in building a world-class data infrastructure, unlocking insights that inspire our teams, delight our clients, and deliver tangible growth. From enhancing customer experiences to streamlining operations and driving revenue, this is your opportunity to lead the charge in making Instant Impact a truly data-driven powerhouse.

This role will involve (but not limited to): 

  • Craft and Champion a Visionary Data Strategy: Design and execute a forward-thinking data strategy and governance framework that propels business objectives and drives innovation.
  • Shape Scalable Data Ecosystems: Lead the evolution of data pipelines and warehouses using cutting-edge engineering techniques to empower seamless scalability and agility.
  • Deliver Actionable Insights: Spearhead the development of advanced BI tools and interactive dashboards, offering real-time visibility into key metrics that fuel smarter decisions.
  • Ensure Data Excellence: Establish and maintain a rigorous data governance framework, safeguarding quality, consistency, and security in collaboration with our DPO partners.
  • Ignite a Data-Driven Culture: Advocate for data literacy across teams, inspiring a culture that thrives on insights and informed decisions.
  • Harness Advanced Analytics and AI: Pioneer the adoption of advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning solutions to unlock actionable insights and maximize operational performance.
  • Elevate Customer Understanding: Transform customer data into powerful insights, revealing behaviors, preferences, and trends that guide strategy and engagement.

What we need from you:

  • Proven Leadership in Data and Insights: some experience in leading, driving growth and innovation in dynamic, scale-up environments.
  • Master of Modern Data Architecture: Expertise in building robust solutions within Azure, Fabric, and other leading data warehouse environments.
  • Power BI Proficiency: Skilled in deploying Power BI solutions that transform raw data into compelling, actionable insights.
  • API Integration Expertise: Hands-on experience designing and implementing seamless API integration solutions to enhance system interoperability.
  • Innovator in Advanced Analytics and AI: A demonstrated history of leading the deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives to solve complex business challenges.
  • Data Governance Champion: In-depth understanding of data quality, governance, and management best practices, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Agile Enthusiast: Strong knowledge of Agile principles and processes, driving adaptability and efficiency in project execution.
  • Analytical Strategist: Exceptional analytical skills with a knack for turning intricate data insights into clear, actionable business strategies.
  • Technical Savvy Meets Business Acumen: A unique blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to bridge the gap between data capabilities and business goals.
  • Hands-On Team Player: Willing to roll up your sleeves and contribute directly to technical and analytical tasks, managing a small but mighty data team.
  • Influential Communicator: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging and influencing stakeholders at every level of the organization.
  • RPO Industry Insight (a Plus): Familiarity with the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) industry is a valuable bonus, adding depth to your understanding of the sector but not required
