The role
We’re seeking a Senior Food Regulatory Manager to join us to help ensure the highest compliance and regulatory standards across Huel’s full product range.
Managing and developing a team of 3, you’ll be the key contact for all things compliance and regulatory across the UK, USA, Germany and Japan, whilst overseeing labelling, artwork, and safety controls.
Your day-to-day key responsibilities include managing compliance, problem-solving to keep Huel in stock with minimal risk, and continuously improving systems to protect our brand and products. You'll lead the finished product specifications function for Huel, protecting our finished product requirements with Co-Manufacturers and review and support risk assessment on micro & allergen testing.
This role includes working with our new Milton Keynes factory, but you’ll also lead our external lab testing for co-mans, their third-party accreditations, and specifications.As a leader, you’ll drive horizon scanning and risk assessments, identifying potential issues and resolving them swiftly.
Based at our Tring HQ, with weekly travel to our Milton Keynes Factory, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technical strategy and supporting product improvements and launches. Flexibility for some UK and EU travel is expected.

- This role will best suit someone with around 5 + years of experience working in a Regulatory and Compliance role within a food manufacturing business. Ideally with a relevant degree (could be in food, math or science) but this isn't essential.
- Food regulatory labelling knowledge is essential across the UK & ideally some international (UK, USA, GERMANY, JAPAN) . We continue to grow internationally, so the ability to be proactive in learning is essential.
- You'll have exposure to, and an understanding of food manufacturing processes and have knowledge and experience of accreditations such as (but not limited to) BRC, SQF, Kosher, Halal and Organic.
- A strong collaborative team background, ability to work exceptionally well cross-functionally & experience managing a team goes without saying
