The role
We opened the doors to our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in January 2024, taking our team of Hueligans to over 300! To take us to the next step in our journey, we are now searching for a new Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team!
This is a brand new role for Huel that will see you be responsible for ensuring the health and safety, risk and compliance, and site security of our Milton Keynes warehouse! Here's an insight to your day-to-day:
- Health and Safety: Assist in creating, implementing, and tracking health and safety policies, perform audits and risk assessments, and drive efforts to minimise hazards and enhance safety culture. Ensure adherence to signage, PPE, and equipment standards, while managing safety drills, emergency exercises, and training sessions.
- Inductions and training : Conduct induction sessions for new employees, contractors, and visitors, and provide ongoing compliance and safety training for all Hueligans. We want you to foster a culture of safety and compliance across the organisation.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain compliance documentation such as risk assessments, training logs, and incident records, prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, and ensure timely submission of compliance reports to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Site Security and Response: Support site security efforts by managing access control and visitor systems while serving as the first point of contact for reporting and escalating security incidents.
- Risk and Compliance Monitoring: Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections, ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and liaise with senior management and regulatory bodies to mitigate risks and maintain updated policies.
- Workspace: Support our workspace team from time to time when needed ensuring that our shared spaces are properly maintained, ensuring they’re clean, organised, and well-stocked.

What we're looking for in you

- Prior experience working in a Manufacturing (Factory/Warehouse) environment in any industry is essential.
- Strong experience in Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or related field. Certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, or compliance-specific qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience in compliance, health and safety, or risk-related roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors. Exposure to regulatory frameworks, audits, and incident management.
- Understanding of local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communication skills to effectively liaise with teams, contractors, and management, and training skills for inductions and workshops.
- Analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation planning.
