The role

Our operations team play a huge role in the success of our customers' experience, ensuring we deliver on our promise of never being out of stock 🍛. To help ensure we continue to deliver on our promise, we are looking for a new Materials Planning Executive to join our operations team! Here's an insight in to your day to day:

  • You'll work with other teams to understand how much of each raw material we need to create these products, ensuring they're always in supply 🍅.
  • Create accurate plans and ensure optimal stock levels within targets, making sure we're able to produce the right quantities of our products.
  • You'll organise and assist with the purchasing of all types of products, for all product ranges and also trials. Being responsible for placing orders for stock replenishments to fulfil the production plan🏬.
  • Assisting in organising scheduled transport and ensuring these shipments go ahead🚢.
  • Developing great supplier relationships alongside Procurement, to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and providing regular forecast updates.
  • We’re working with food so the shelf life of materials is super important. You’ll need to make sure that the materials stock is fit for purpose and accurate in the system 🚩.
  • You’ll maintain accurate and timely wastage reports, working with the rest of the Material Planning Team to forecast any stock loss - we hate waste so the target is to keep this to the absolute bare minimum🗑️.

What we're looking for in you

This role will best suit someone with either a relevant degree in Supply Chain/related field or around 1-2 years of experience working in Production Planning / Materials Planning. We need someone who is an excellent communicator. Building strong relationships is crucial to this role as you manage our suppliers, so this would suit someone with excellent people skills, who feels they can negotiate well🤝

It's critical that you are proficient with either excel or google sheets📊. Keeping track of raw material stock levels and where it is needed for production is a SUPER important part in the effectiveness of our supply chain and it forms the basis of a lot of this role.
