The role

The role will see you responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across the organisation by providing actionable insights, taking advantage of opportunities in AI and machine learning, and helping to improve business processes with data automation. Here’s an insight into what you can expect!

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and data engineers to deliver high-quality data insights and analytics solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand their data needs, provide insight, and support KPI tracking to drive business outcomes.

Data Storytelling: Skilled in presenting and producing compelling slides and narratives to support strategies and approaches.

Data Strategy: Develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with the organisation's goals, focusing on data accuracy, accessibility, and usability.

Data Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.

AI and Machine Learning: Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to optimize business processes, enhance performance, and create predictive models that support proactive decision-making.

Performance Reporting: Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights into business performance and trends.

Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the organisation’s data capabilities and BI tools.

What we're looking for in you

This role will best suit someone who has at least 5+ years of professional experience in data, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role managing a data team. A strong understanding of AI and machine learning applications and experience with BI tools (e.g. Thoughtspot) and data management platforms. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations is key! Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
