Hi I'm Akhil Vutukuri the QA Team Lead at HowNow đŸ‘‹đŸŸ I’m looking for a Sr. SDET to join us.

At HowNow, you'll have the opportunity to implement all aspects of non-functional testing from scratch, giving you hands-on experience and the chance to shape our testing framework. Day-to-day tasks will include đŸ“©

  • You’ll collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage in an agile, fast-paced product environment.
  • You’ll create automation frameworks from scratch and develop the entire architecture for UI and API testing.
  • You’ll design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript.
  • You’ll automate API test scenarios using Axios/Frisby in combination with Playwright and TypeScript for comprehensive API test automation.
  • You’ll automate complex scenarios to ensure robust and scalable test coverage for high-quality product delivery
  • You’ll integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintaining CI/CD processes to enable continuous delivery using Jenkins.
  • You’ll manage and version test scripts using version control systems like GIT.
  • You’ll write SQL queries for database testing to validate data integrity.
  • You’ll analyze test results, identifying defects, generating reports, and driving timely resolutions to ensure seamless product functionality.
  • You’ll perform performance testing using tools like JMeter and K6 to assess application scalability and stability.
  • You’ll leverage Appium to automate mobile application testing (iOS and Android).
  • You’ll mentor junior team members to write test scripts, manage automation frameworks, and adopt best practices in automation.

The key things that we will be looking for in applicants 🔑

  • 5–10 years of experience with automation tools, with a strong focus on Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Proven expertise in creating robust automation frameworks and automating complex test scenarios.
  • Strong experience in API test automation using Axios/Frisby with Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter and K6.
  • Proficiency in mobile automation using Appium (iOS and Android).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD platforms and processes to enable continuous testing in product pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like GIT.
  • Proven experience in manual testing with a strong understanding of QA processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure product reliability.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to guide and train QA team members to improve their skills in automation and testing processes.
