Finance Analyst – Finance Systems

Function: Finance
Location: Edinburgh City Centre based - hybrid with a mix of office & home working

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 base depending on experience, plus full benefits listed below.
Contract: 12-month maternity cover

Reporting into the Finance System Manager, this role will get involved in a number of standard month-end financial systems related processes while simultaneously supporting projects to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and continued enhancement of UK reporting. Additionally, it is expected the individual will help to identify and deliver process improvements as we make the journey towards the deployment of the Digital Backbone—HEINEKEN’s next-generation global ERP and technology framework—set to launch in 2026.

So what will you be doing? Here’s some of the key accountabilities.

  • Provide SME support for larger strategic and operational projects, including DBB.
  • Ensure full alignment between SAP / S/4HANA and FI and all relevant reporting systems
  • Responsible for system structure and accuracy of finance Masterdata.
  • Business partner directly with finance business groups to resolve finance system and master data issues including managing the SAP release cycle


The Candidate
We’re looking for someone who has a positive and pro-active attitude when it comes to influencing stakeholders and taking on challenges.

You don’t have to have an accountancy qualification for this position, but we do need someone “qualified by experience”, this means someone who can confidently take on finance system processes, controls and reconciliations. Study support will be possible for an individual looking to undertake or continue professional qualification exams.

Our ways of working
This role is office based, we currently operate a hybrid working framework which allows us to capture the benefits of both working in the office and at home. For full-time roles, we work a minimum of 3 days in the office – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with Monday and Friday being our work-from-home days.

In May we’ll be moving to a fantastic new office at 6 St Andrew Square – right in the heart of the city centre.

The office is in a great location with excellent public transport links so it’s really easy to get to whether you’re travelling by train, bus or tram!

With a brilliant selection of restaurants, bars, shops and our very own Star Pubs on our doorstep, you’ll be spoilt for choice for extracurricular activities. And if you fancy catch up after hours with your colleagues, our in-house bar with fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle might just be the spot for you!
