My Role
Principally, the role is to audit the processes and controls that Banks and Building Societies have in place to deliver a Single Customer View to FSCS and to perform an assessment of the data they supply against FSCS’ quality and integrity standards and in line with PRA (Prudential Regulation Authority) rules.
The role entails performing the audit and data analysis as well as delivering the findings to internal and external stakeholders, which include the Bank of England.
My Priorities – what I will deliver
• Undertake detailed analysis of SCV (Single Customer View) data provided by deposit taking firms
• Perform compliance audits of deposit takers’ SCV systems and processes
• Discuss findings from the audits with the regulators and to deposit takers
• Assist with the FSCS payout process that triggers when deposit takers fail
• Act as a subject matter expert, giving SCV advice to deposit takers over the phone and via email
• Produce audit reports
• Keep procedures and process maps updated
• Contribute to the internal risk management process of the team
My Knowledge – what I need to know
• Prior experience in auditing or testing IT systems and communicating findings
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data
• Good Microsoft Office skills (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience in assimilating and analysing multiple information sources
Desired
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment of the UK Banking sector
• Some knowledge of FSCS
• Technical experience using SQL to perform operations on databases
• Awareness of the PRA (Prudential Regulation Authority) Rulebook
