However, we also believe in face to face collaboration, and our UK colleagues meet once a month for team time and quarterly for company get togethers in our Leeds office, so we ask that you be within a commutable distance that you are comfortable with in order to attend the office on those occasions.

What You'll Do:

  • Own and deliver the product roadmap for author, editor, and reviewer services, aligned with business strategy and OKRs.
  • Collaborate with third-party platform partners to manage and deliver the roadmap.
  • Develop a research services environment to provide learning materials and insights via third-party vendors.
  • Lead the development of new features and workflow enhancements for a compelling author experience.
  • Support investment cases for new initiatives.
  • Champion the platform and services across the business, supporting training, meetings, and demos.
  • Use market research and user insights to develop a content roadmap for optimal user experience.
  • Manage the workflow for adding, editing, and removing content based on customer feedback.
  • Develop access and business models to maximize customer benefits and ROI.
  • Drive customer awareness and engagement with the platform, using adoption metrics to refine products and services.
  • Liaise with Sales, Commercial Operations, Marketing, and Content teams to communicate the roadmap and gather input.
  • Support the marketing strategy for services, including lead nurturing and usage.
  • Develop plans and materials for sales enablement, implementation, and onboarding.
  • Work with Delivery and Architecture teams to ensure clear development and testing of new and existing services.

You’ll need to have:

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking
  • Effective networking, negotiation, and stakeholder management
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach
  • Conflict anticipation and management
  • Data-driven, proactive communicator
  • Excellent written communication

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of business and product development drivers
  • Experience with full product life-cycle and structured development processes
  • Awareness of publishing and sales cycles

Experience:

  • Product/service development
  • Academic publishing or Higher Education
  • Working with third-party providers
  • Customer and user engagement

Behaviours and Attributes:

  • Commercial focus and deep understanding of customer personas and markets
  • Integrity and empathy
  • Future-oriented vision
  • Problem-solving and effective decision-making
  • Creative thinking and support for positive change
  • Positive influence and cross-functional collaboration
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships
