Business Analyst

Job Description

In this wide-reaching Business Analyst role, you’ll operate across change & delivery, responsible for documenting requirements and user stories, conducting impact assessment of proposed changes to people, process and technology, managing and implementing successful change, as well as coaching the business in the delivery of change.

Location: We perform at our best when we feel trusted and are able to choose an approach to working that suits us best, which is why we are a remote-first company. However, we also believe in face to face collaboration, and our UK colleagues meet once a month for team time and quarterly for company get togethers in our Leeds office, so we ask that you be within a commutable distance that you are comfortable with in order to attend the office on those occasions.

Day to day we’ll trust you to work on the below:   

  • Discovery: Explore ideas to understand the business/customer need.
  • Documentation & Delivery: Prepare requirements/user stories for change to support RFP processes and successful delivery via internal development teams and 3rd party solution providers.
  • Impact Assessment: Evaluate the effect of changes on people, processes, and technology, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous development: Evolve the business analyst framework, toolkit & techniques, and support their adoption and collaborative use across project/programme teams.
  • Support & Coach: Coaching the business in the delivery of change and to determine the right level of documentation required for that change.
  • Definition of ‘As is’ and ‘To be’ models: identifying alternative solutions and new approaches where appropriate.
  • Benefit Management: Identify and measure the benefit of change initiatives.
  • Assessment: Identification of opportunities, risks and blockers in delivering workable solutions.
  • Delivery: Ability to work across projects from concept to post implementation, able to prioritise effectively and focus on elements that truly add benefit.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Keep stakeholders informed, ensuring expectations are managed and aligned.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, architecture, and change teams to ensure smooth implementation of solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage smaller projects, overseeing them from start to finish.
