Senior Frontend Engineer

Job Description

TL;DR

We’re hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and build intuitive, scalable interfaces for the deepset AI Platform. You’ll own features end to end, create reusable components, and evolve our design system to support real-world, complex workflows. You’ll champion frontend best practices and collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to shape how developers and enterprises interact with our platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Frontend Engineer, ideally in fast-paced or startup environments
• Proficient in JavaScript and modern frameworks—our stack: TypeScript, React, Redux, Sass
• Strong grasp of frontend architecture, performance, and debugging techniques
• Experienced with writing and maintaining tests
• Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python and backend systems
• Previous experience building software for enterprise customers
• Background or interest in NLP/LLM technologies
• Experience contributing to or evolving design systems
• Open-source experience is a plus
