Job Description

About us

An intro from Andrew Underwood (Head of Marketing):

Cronofy’s APIs power scheduling for hundreds of SaaS applications across a diverse set of verticals. If you’ve used a GoDaddy website to make an online appointment, or scheduled an interview on Indeed, you’ve used Cronofy’s APIs under the hood.

We relentlessly focus on performance, security, support and reliability, making us the market leader in scheduling infrastructure. Developers love our APIs and open documentation that ”does what it says it does”, allowing developers to bypass sales and just start building with the API.

The role

This role is an incredible opportunity to accelerate the success we’ve had to date. As a Developer Marketing Lead, you’ll be the crucial link between product development, marketing, and sales. Your mission? To create exceptional technical content that make our APIs and products irresistible to developers and product managers worldwide. Whether you’re crafting SDKs, producing developer-friendly content, or building tools that empower our marketing and sales teams, you’ll ensure Cronofy becomes a household name for product builders seeking scheduling solutions. You’ll work within a team that includes one Product Marketer, a Marketing Manager, Demand Generation Manager and a Graphic Designer.

This is a unique opportunity to take the reigns in scaling our API in market, while also being well supported.

Your responsibilities:

  • Amplify growth initiatives by collaborating with marketing on campaigns, webinars, content, and strategy to ensure messaging resonates with developers
  • Support internal innovation by partnering with product and engineering teams to identify and resolve pain points in the developer journey
  • Code solutions that inspire product managers and developers to choose Cronofy over building scheduling themselves. Build upon existing open-source tools, SDKs, and plugins that showcase and expand the power of Cronofy
  • Produce developer-focused media through high-quality video guides, walkthroughs, and other visual content to cater to the developer and product manager audience
  • Contribute to the go-to-market strategy to increase market share, revenue growth and high customer adoption rates of the API
  • Creating a wide range of marketing content, including sales collateral, product videos, blog posts, web pages and case studies

How you'll work

We expect you to:

  • Craft narratives that bridge technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering teams
  • Be customer-centric, able to understand customer needs, and use all channels and tactics available to reach and resonate with target audiences
  • Have a passion for experimentation and problem-solving, exploring new ways to engage developers and product managers
  • Be flexible in the way you work and ability to travel to events and conferences if needed

As a Developer Marketing Lead, your ability to effectively amplify our products in the market, drive revenue growth and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be critical to our company’s success. Your work will directly impact our market presence and the success of our products in meeting customer needs.

About you

We expect the successful applicant will have:

  • Strong technical background with a proven ability to build impactful developer solutions
  • A portfolio of engaging technical content, such as blogs, videos, or tutorials
  • Familiarity with SaaS startups or fast-paced environments, showcasing adaptability and innovation
  • Strategic thinking that understands how technical products are considered and bought in a procurement process
  • The ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and meet deadlines

How we work

Our principles guide how we approach every day. New members of the team are often surprised how truly we do this.

We are a customer-focused business—whether that’s sales, marketing or product design.

We prioritize collaboratively. The marketing team meet daily to focus our efforts on the most important tasks, whether those are brand or product marketing initiatives. It’s critical for the brand and product team members to work cohesively.

Our marketing team is small, so prioritization of time and resources is essential.

We work hard but insist that everyone considers the balance between work and their life and responsibilities outside. We are direct in our dealings with each other. We continuously work to build mutual trust so that we can give each other feedback without fear of it being taken personally.

We can support a predominantly remote, office-based, or hybrid working model. We do really value face-to-face time and, where circumstances allow, encourage teams to spend regular time together at suitable locations. It would be most beneficial if the successful applicant was based in, or within a reasonably commutable distance to London.

Hiring process

The goal is to discover what you will bring to Cronofy and what Cronofy will bring to you. It’s as important for you to determine whether this is the right move for your career as much as anything else, so don’t be afraid to ask questions. We value transparency and so are happy to answer (virtually) any questions you may have.
