What you will be doing:

You will work in close collaboration with other traders and analysts at our Power & Gas Trading desk based in Singapore (but in close touch with traders located in Aalborg, Denmark).

Role responsibilities include:

  • Supporting trading activities in the European power & gas markets.
  • Monitoring trading activities to discover and eliminate operational risks.
  • Assisting traders with data validation and various ad hoc projects.
  • Assisting in trading/market analysis and identifying trading opportunities in established and emerging markets.
  • Helping to build quantitative models to capture market opportunities, improve understanding of supply/demand drivers.

Who we’re looking for

  • Available to work part time 2-3 days per week in our central Singapore office transitioning to full time from January 2025 (would suit a penultimate year student)
  • Degree in Finance/Economics or closely related STEM subject
  • Previous experience in trading is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel with strong programming skills (VBA/Python/R)
  • Work as a team player and on your own – the members of our team depend on each other
  • High attention to detail with a result-orientated mindset
