Job Description

Join us, be part of more.

We’re so much more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels, whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.

Centrica Energy Trading is looking for young talent who are motivated by responsibility, thrive in a fast-paced environment and do not back down from a challenge! We offer a work environment that builds on talent and will help you grow on a professional as well as a personal level.

Centrica Energy

Centrica Energy is one of Europe’s leading trading companies and this job as a Student Assistant is aiming at finding the future talents of Centrica and can be a fast track to testing yourself through practical experience. We dream big and aim high when setting new goals, and we deliver on that through honesty, proactiveness and responsibility.

The ideal candidate is by nature interested in identifying and solving problems and has a strong and structured ability to acquire knowledge and develop new skills. You can work independently, but you can also count on support from colleagues who are ready to support you on your journey.

What you will be doing:

In the role, you will assist the Business Management team (in the Renewable Energy Trading and Optimisation area) to enable strategic business growth in one of our key markets, Germany. Fluency in German language is required.

You will work alongside colleagues to resolve issues within the German market and the work includes frequent communication with external parties, having calls to resolve issues, keeping track of outstanding queries, support collection of data for KPI reporting and work to improve processes.

We’re looking for a candidate who want to join a problem-solving team working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration is key. We’ll depend on you to contribute to the development of the role and improvement of the tasks you’re involved in – therefore, you’ll have great possibilities to influence the position and learn how to efficiently drive and manage tasks independently.

Practical information

The workload is expected to be 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility provided in exam and holiday periods.
