To get where we’re going, we need Senior Transformational Change Managers to drive, lead and deliver significant operational change initiatives at pace to increase efficiency, drive simplicity and deliver improved customer outcomes for British Gas. We want thirsty operational change leaders.

We need strong operational leaders who can demonstrate evidence of managing complex, large, improvement projects from conception to conclusion and will deliver brilliant operational, employee and customer benefits. You’ll be adept at using best change and project practice techniques to identify operational improvement opportunities of material value, and you’ll be someone who can bring strong collaboration and engagement skills, working in a cross-function matrix organisation at all levels, to deliver effective and sustainable change. Key accountabilities

  • Embedded within the Field Services operational unit, and with proximity to day-to-day customer performance, use best Change practice techniques coupled with insight to identify and drive material operational enablement opportunities from concept to embed, then sustain in our operational teams

  • Accountable for the initiation of ideation, through to the success of execution and benefits of your business unit. Through successful execution of change and operational improvement, typically through a series of complex internal and external changes, to timeline and budget, ensuring return on investment is delivered in line with committed outcomes

  • Responsible for business case creation; working with key stakeholders including Finance to gain funding and sponsorship

  • Drive the strategy for your business unit, delivering material customer benefits (£ value for money, service improvement, NPS etc.) associated with each change or operational initiative

  • Maintain clear and articulate plans for operational enablement initiatives, assessing risk and opportunity, and to drive delivery at pace

  • Work with all areas of the business including supporting functions to align operational enablement scope, impact, budget, plan etc. across wide-ranging interconnected change

  • Develop and nurture strong, positive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement and delivery of change

  • Work to establish and deliver value through continuous improvement techniques through Field Services

  • Deliver the program/portfolio of initiatives in accordance with quality and safety standards, agreed change methodology, and Portfolio Governance standards

  • Ensure operational and regulatory risks associated with the transformation program are managed as appropriate
