Do you have what it takes to work in a fast-paced trading environment with ambitions to be the best?

We are about to strengthen our Quantitative and Capacity Trading team with a new Senior Curve Prop Trader working out of our offices in Copenhagen or Aalborg, Denmark.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Proprietary trading in European Energy Markets – maximizing PnL within Risk and Compliance framework – Focus primarily on Power, Gas, EUA and Options

• Developing, testing and executing new trading strategies and improve existing ones

• Participating in portfolio construction, challenge consensus view and monitor exposure

• Actively pursue knowledge to develop the desk trading abilities

• Provide open, honest and constructive feedback on trading performance and recommendations.

The ideal candidate:

You are analytical and comfortable holding positions with a macro fundamental based view. From your experience you naturally have an excellent understanding of trading hubs, market participants and financial hedging. You are focused on details and have a result-orientated and enthusiastic mindset.

We also imagine that you have:

• Strong business acumen coupled with entrepreneurial flair

• Proven commercial track record in trading

• Previous experience in trading non-linear products

• Work as a team player and on your own – the members of our team depend on each other

It is preferable that primary focus is the back of the curve and that the person also have general strong knowledge of other financial markets and commodities.
