Overview

At Centrica UKI Services (Net Zero New Business) we provide integrated energy solutions that deliver cost efficiency, resilience and accelerate our customers’ journeys to a low carbon future. We serve business and public sector organisations, increasingly focusing on delivering decarbonisation of power, heating and transport through our portfolio of solutions.

We build, operate, and maintain clean energy assets to help large public sector and industrial customers decarbonise. This includes providing project design and delivery and installation expertise, financing options, and industry leading operational capabilities to deliver energy efficiency and save customers money, helping them balance the demands of planet and profit.

Reporting to our Head of Business Development you will focus on creating and closing new sales opportunities and implementing sales strategies for the Public Sector in UK and Ireland.

You will be joining a financially solid organisation with a pedigree of clients at a time of strong growth momentum.

The Role

In your new role you will generate, own and progress new sales opportunities outside of existing pipeline to sell the following: Hydrogen ready CHP; solar; battery; heat pumps and other energy solutions which could be multi-technology based and across one client site or multiple client sites. You will also employ innovative solutions to influence purchasing habits.

You will target Public Sector clients with multi-tech solutions to support client’s carbon and energy savings targets. Defining and developing new sales opportunities, building relationships with clients reaching the appropriate level of contacts within high value organisations (e.g. Board and Estates) and collaboratively work the opportunity to a close with colleagues in engineering, projects, commercial and finance.

You will also maintain a SalesForce database of pipeline opportunities and contract wins providing regular KPIs/reporting and forecasts.

Attending industry trade events and networking will also be a key part of your role as will collating and disseminating market intelligence.

The Person

To be considered for this role we would like you to have some of the following experience and skills:

Commercially aware and credible influencer you will have material experience of selling power and heat generation in the Public Sector and understand the sector’s net zero targets and funding pathways. You must also have experience of sales within one of the following commercially sized technologies: CHP, solar or heat pumps.
