Our teams have been at the heart of communities for over 50 years. Partnering with local authorities and associations, we support social housing across the UK – installing, upgrading and repairing heating and electrical systems. PH Jones have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Manager to join our Social Housing team, covering the West Midlands to Scotland regions.

The ideal person will have a proven track record of leading high-performing and engaged cross functional field teams within a large complex organisation, previous experience of working within a fast-paced customer service operation, detailed knowledge and understanding of contract management and key performance indicators, with commercial acumen. Social Housing experience would be advantageous.

About the role:

In this role you will be empowered to lead, direct and be accountable for all operational activity in the region to deliver the highest standards of customer satisfaction, quality, efficiency and safety, to achieve business targets. Inspire and develop a team of leaders that are driven to achieve financial, efficiency, operational, customer, people and safety targets whilst nurturing and developing client networks supporting business growth across the region.

  • Accountability for regional performance ensuring client, customer, financial and business objectives are delivered through a highly engaged team
  • Build and maintain excellent client relationships, to effectively deliver on our contractual commitments to support the growth of the business
  • and drive the regional safety plan, adhering to safety and environmental policies, guidelines and procedures at all times, focusing on the ongoing delivery of the safe and fair treatment our clients and customers, with a particular focus on safe working practices to negate the risk of customer and colleague injuries
  • Ensure that all work undertaken complies with current codes, standards and legislation, to ensure the wellbeing of employees, customers and their premises
  • Create a team identity building a strong, trusted, cohesive, client/customer centric and highly performing team that aligns with our culture and values
  • Motivate and engage the team to deliver on and continuously improve operational performance, providing ongoing coaching, feedback and support so individual and business performance is maximised
  • Ensure adequate resources are available to meet forecasted demand, and effectively utilise resources to meet that demand
  • Manage conduct, operational and regulatory risks, escalating as appropriate

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Must have a proven track record of leading and inspiring large ‘field’ teams to achieve goals and financial objectives including excellence in customer satisfaction
  • Experience of working with clients to deliver tailored service models and related contract management requirements
  • Experience of executing business strategies and delivering step changes within the business
  • Strong commercial acumen and effective decision making that will deliver business goals
  • Prior experience of general management and leadership within a fast-paced operational field workforce environment
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of contract management and key performance indicators
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills at front line and senior levels
  • Development of high performing teams through strong coaching and motivational skills and the ability to lead through others
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to forge excellent working relationships
