Together we can make an impact that will truly change tomorrow. Whether you’re developing cutting-edge green tech, helping customers on the front line or simplifying operations behind the scenes.

Your work here isn’t just a job – it’s a mission. We all play a vital role in energising a greener, fairer future.

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in supporting projects throughout all phases, from development to operation. • Provide technical support to a number of projects at any one time, including input to risk, HAZOP, change management and technical reviews

  • Contribute to electrical grid applications, liaise with DNO’s, review connection offers and manage the delivery of relevant grid studies

  • Support technical due diligence activities for potential acquisitions and opportunities

  • Have responsibility for driving an incident free environment on and off site and promoting a positive safety culture within the organisation

  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining Centrica Power’s Electrical Engineering specifications and standards to ensure compliance, consistency and lifetime value across the asset portfolio.

The Person:

  • Detailed knowledge of Principles and Procedures on HV, MV, LV, Protection Systems, Switchgear, MCC’s, Distribution Systems and electrical equipment

  • Knowledge and experience of applicable Grid Code requirements

  • Understanding of construction and/or design of Power Generation Projects

  • Understanding of procurement, supply chain management and conditions of contract

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Willingness to support continuous business improvement and a self-led approach to personal development.
