Job Description

Overview

Core to Centrica’s growth strategy in net zero is to enable the energy management, optimisation, and demand side response (DSR) of IoT enabled devices in homes and businesses.

DSR enabled devices will be key to Centrica’s ambition to build ‘the world’s largest Virtual Power Plant’ (VPP) and our IoT Optimisation and DSR capability is expected to form a key value driver for B2C services & solutions propositions and in the B2B field.

Internationally, our software and trading capabilities provide an opportunity to establish and grow a B2B2C / B2B2B business in providing DSR services to manufacturers, installers, and energy management software providers of major electric devices in the home and small business environment.

The Net Zero team is seeking an outstanding and deeply commercial individual to take on a Commercial Sales Manager role in The Netherlands to support our fast-growing, early stage DSR & Smart Energy business.

Reporting to the European Business Manager, Demand Side Response & Smart Energy, you will be responsible for successfully managing, executing, developing, and growing B2B2C / B2B2B partnership accounts in Europe, initially focusing on the Netherlands with a view to expand across European territories in the longer term.

You will bring a unique blend of business acumen, solid technical understanding of IoT, Demand Side Response, Smart grids, and SaaS, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced international organisation and communicate with stakeholders at senior level.

You can work autonomously and use your skills to liaise with various parts of the Centrica group of businesses. Moreover, you are never satisfied with the status quo, can show success in following-up and getting things done and can thrive in a multicultural environment.
