The Net-Zero Business Improvement Manager will, test, trial and implement new technology, products, propositions and business processes that align to the net-zero business strategy. They will collate and review evidence and data, which will drive their decision making and recommendations on what we do and how we do it as well as tracking the benefits once changes are made.

Key Accountabilities of the role

  • Engage across operations, digital, commercial, technical experts, future capability and Process Design teams, to identify and implement cross product opportunities for technology, process alignment and product promotion

  • Be the voice of the customer ensuring the right customer experiences are identified, implemented, maintained and built on

  • understand the competitor landscape, using that to drive recommendations and improvements within net-zero

  • Work closely with the continuous improvement (CI) teams to identify what we are unsure of and therefore should be trialled by Business Improvement Vs what we know or believe and therefore should stay with CI

  • Design, implement and review trials, to support evidence-based decisions on implementation of change initiatives

  • Work with an agile, incremental delivery mindset, starting with launching a MVP and then building incrementally to obtain benefits as soon as possible

  • Track the benefits of the initiatives once implemented, to understand if the benefits case has been met and better inform future assumptions when building business cases

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of Change Management principles

  • Experience with Customer Journey Development & Mapping

  • Experience with Business Readiness

  • Experience analysing data with the ability to take raw data and make it usable

  • Knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information and engage with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong situational analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and impacts and devise appropriate mitigation strategies
