An opportunity to make a difference: As the newly appointed Assistant P2P GPO you are tasked with ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of the end-to-end Purchase to Pay (P2P) process. This role involves close collaboration with the P2P Global Process Owner and regional P2P teams to align and optimise strategies. It is crucial to guarantee that all P2P activities adhere to organisational policies and regulatory standards. The manager will identify opportunities for enhancement and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Additionally, providing guidance and support to regional teams is essential to ensure consistent application of P2P processes. Monitoring performance metrics and generating insightful reports to aid decision-making are also key responsibilities. This role is vital for maintaining efficient and compliant P2P operations across the organisation.
The Day to Day
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining standardized P2P processes. This includes monitoring process performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline P2P workflows.
- Support the development and enhancement of P2P controls, ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and best practices, and conduct periodic control assessments to address any deficiencies.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, including onboarding, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
- Analyse P2P data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost savings, and prepare regular reports on P2P performance, compliance, KPIs, and exceptions.
- Continuously seek process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times and propose and implement automation solutions where applicable.
- Assist in change initiatives related to P2P process enhancements, communicate changes to relevant stakeholders, and provide training as needed.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and sign-off of P2P Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.
- Participate in P2P-related projects, system implementations, and upgrades.
About You
- Knowledge and experience in Purchase to Pay.
- Preferably experienced in a multinational or global organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end P2P processes and controls.
- Proficiency in P2P systems such as SAP, Ariba, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Expertise in change management and project management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- A collaborative team player.
- A problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
