Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineering Specialist

Location: Manchester - Deansgate

Due to the sensitive nature of this role you will be required to have DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum will be payable as a DV Bonus.

The team maintain and develop bespoke capabilities working very closely with our customers. We work across a wide variety of platforms and technology stacks and we utilise a wide range of programming languages. The team is based across our main four sites as well as working on customer sites.

What you’ll do:

  • Creatively apply a wide range of technical and/management principles.
  • Perform highly complex work activities covering technical, financial and quality aspects.
  • Influence a significant part of own organisation and influences customers/suppliers and industry at a senior management level (e.g. around resourcing of delivery teams and technical direction of work).
  • Perform technical coaching and mentoring.
  • Vulnerability Testing

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in coding, ideally with at least one of Python, C++, Objective–C, Java, C#, JavaScript or C. If you’re not proficient, we’ll help with a comprehensive suite of training and provide support from our inclusive teams to help you develop.
  • Ability to take substantial personal responsibility, autonomy and ownership.
  • DV (Develeped Vetting)

You may also have:

  • Experience in a Leadership capacity.
