You’ve got opportunities

As a network security design / implementation engineer, it's your job to keep our customers network security systems secure. This might involve designing, implementing and testing network security features, planning network upgrades, troubleshooting, and responding to security incidents.

The main function of your role as a network security design / implementation engineer will be working closely with our customer, operational teams and your delivery colleagues. You will be designing and implementing network security solutions in a constantly evolving environment, reacting to requirements, threats and standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Work alongside the customer as an integral part of a team
  • Provide subject matter expert support during customer engagement
  • Create design and implementation material to industry standards
  • Quote for new opportunities
  • Deliver change and provide support
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformational activities making how we work better
  • Guide and coach members of the team and peer review their work

You’ll definitely:

  • Be self-motivated and proactive
  • Be comfortable challenging and working to strict deadlines
  • Have working knowledge of security solutions in technologies such as
    • Cisco FTD,
    • F5,
    • Palo Alto,
    • ASA
    • Cisco ISE
  • Be organised and able to multi-task
  • Use your initiative and be comfortable working with changing requirements
  • Have a proven track record in network security design and/or implementation
  • Have an enquiring mind, thirst for knowledge and willingness to learn
  • Hold or be capable being SC security cleared

You might even:

  • Possess a recognised formal qualification in security technologies / methodologies
  • Have knowledge of security design and architecture fundamentals
  • Have experience of working directly with large organisations on complex technical delivery projects.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and stakeholder management across virtual teams up to board level.
  • Be commercially aware
