Are you an experienced IT Network Designer?

As a Technical/Network Designer at BT, your primary role is to design and deliver cutting-edge network solutions tailored to the needs of our external customers. Specializing in networking, voice, or contact centre solutions, you'll collaborate within a global team on medium to large-scale projects, and may even assume the role of a senior designer alongside the Design Lead, influencing the future direction of our offerings. With a strong emphasis on customer-centricity, you'll not only promote our solutions but also ensure they align perfectly with customer requirements. Locations: Nationwide – Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle, London, Birmingham, Southampton

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week, with 2 flexible days per week.

Key Responsibilities as a Network Designer for BT:

  • Design and deliver medium to large-scale network solutions.
  • Lead design projects, reviewing all components and delivering comprehensive solutions.
  • Possess expert knowledge of network architecture and design principles.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, guiding team members, and enhancing design methodologies.
  • Share network design expertise with senior leadership, shaping future strategies and potentially transitioning to a customer-facing role.

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Strong understanding of Cisco networking products and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Networking technologies - SD-WAN, LAN, WAN, Edge, Wireless, Meraki, F5.
  • Certifications: CCNA and CCNP.
