Key Purpose of the Role:

Financial/Statutory Accounting Analyst will be an integral part of finance team, this role will involve a variety of functions in accounting, reporting and analysis, as well as ensuring adherence to internal controls and statutory compliance

Finance Analyst is responsible to review the codification of accounting transactions, support and maintaining internal control trough accounts reconciliations, prepare financial reporting for group and local purposes. She will collaborate with individual contributors of different teams to (AP, AR, Billing, Tax, Treasury, External auditors)

You’ll have the following responsibilities

  • Financial/Statutory Accounting Analyst is responsible to lead the accounting and financial reporting and analyse all transactions impacting the General Ledger.
  • Financial Statutory Accounting Analyst accountabilities & responsibilities.
  • Statutory reporting
  • Coordinate the local statutory audits with KPMG
  • Prepare the financial statements for approval of auditors
  • Prepare and ensure submit the statutory and regulatory reports to the telco authorities.
  • Accounting
  • Analyse the proper codification of transactions in P&L by C1
  • Analyse the impact of foreign exchange exposure
  • Have frequently meetings with internal local business partners (tax, sales, billing, collections) to ensure that accounting are according IFRS and Local GAAPSs
  • Prepare explanations about the variances of actuals vs budget variations in a monthly, quarter and annually basis
  • Identify changes in local requirements to avoid any risk to the company.
  • Analysis of Revenue by customer, by country, identifying MRC and One Offs
  • Analysis of Telco and Non-Telco Cost
  • Monitoring CAPEX and Working capital and prepare explanations of variances vs Budget
  • Internal control/ compliance
  • Support the delivery of SOX reporting
  • Monthly/Quarterly balance sheet reviews.
  • Ensure the integrity of balance sheet accounts through analysis of reconciliations and aging of items in the balance
  • Support in internal audits requirements
  • Performed Fix Assets Verifications
  • Work with other financial hubs to identify in our billing / revenue process the risks, controls and opportunities.

You’ll have the following skills and experience

Essential skills & Experience:

  • IFRS and Local GAAPs technical accounting skills
  • Prove experience in managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including external auditors.
  • Understanding of company financial statements
  • A strong knowledge of suitable financial processes to assist in implementing the objectives of the pan-BT specialist function.

Soft Skills

  • Flexible, multi-task and pro-active team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet required external and internal deadlines.
  • May review work of more junior roles

Software & Languages

  • Good skills in Excel and accounting software - Oracle/SAP.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills in English.

The Financial Control Analyst executes accounting and financial control activities for the Group/Business Unit, including financial reporting, fiscal controls, accounts payable/receivable, and preparing financial records for management and shareholders.

What you’ll be doing

1. Supports the implementation of discrete process and policy changes and prepares reports specific to a unit to help ensure the financial integrity of the business
2. Delivers a range of unit / Group accounting and financial control activities, including coordinating the preparation of key reports, within prescribed guidelines
3. Analyses financial data, including past results, create financial models for decision support, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
4. Supports the identification and management of risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, raising any concerns as appropriate
5. Assists in providing audit and control testing for the business
6. Accesses and compiles multiple data sets from various data sources into reports and dashboards to be made available to key leaders throughout the organisation

8. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within area of responsibility and communicate issues and areas for improvement to business unit/area managers such as through supporting resolution of any data issues impacting productivity or compliance
