Why this job matters

The purpose of the Field Services Central Resourcing Co-ordinator is to engage with our Field Engineers, Engineer Managers and Project Management teams to ensure day to day resource allocation for our large project rollouts. This could be ensuring our Engineers have the necessary kits ordered to stores and warehousing teams, the right people are ready and equipped to be onsite and ready to deliver for our customers.

With over 100 live projects running at any one time you and the team sharing this workload will have outstanding organisational skills, confident and personable stakeholder management to ensure you deliver exceptional resource coordination in a fast paced and complex environment. You’ll be responsible for BAU and non-BAU work which will be reviewed and resourced by yourself up to 90 days in advance by either using direct field labour or 3rd party to ensure the unit meets its service targets on Right First Time (RFT) and Net Promoter Score (NPS). They will also take ownership of absence requests for field in line with agreed thresholds and ensure the correct shrinkage levels are met.

What you'll be doing

  • You’ll be responsible for managing field capacity for all Field Service tasks in line with agreed product lead times / SLA’s. To ensure field resource is optimally matched to meet both provision and repair demand requirements. To create resource deployment plans which maximise field utilisation and profitability to ensure customer and business commitments are met, as well as managing leave groups for the field.
  • Manage customer escalations/expedites by utilising all resourcing solutions
  • Jeopardy manage capacity resource issues in line with book/skill/product closure dates
  • 3rd party resource management
  • Highlight any recurring and/or growing gaps between customer demand and Field capacity/skills to all stakeholders
  • Effectively deploy Field resources to ensure maximum utilisation and efficiency
  • Work in a collaborative way that ensures the availability of resources within agreed lead times
  • Carry out root cause analysis of failures within field / control.

The skills and experience you will need

  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • Experience in capacity and resourcing planning
  • Solid problem-solving ability
  • Product knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
