Job Description

Location: Any of our Strategic hubs in London, Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester

Working Hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 days wherever to suit you

Why this job matters


The Brand Strategy and Campaign Activation Manager will oversee the Business brand strategy. Customer obsessed and an expert in brand, you will integrate customer and industry insight, together with business strategy and translate this into a clear brand plan that delivers against the business and marketing objectives. Once this plan is locked in you with then drive the activation of the big integrated campaigns across every team in marketing against the campaign objectives. You will work alongside every teams operations manager to ensure we have effective audience targeting and customer journeys that are joined up from end to end, helping to resolve issues and remove barriers ensuring all our communications show up to customers in an integrated and cohesive manner.

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for shaping, evolving and delivering BT Business’ brand strategy to enable the achievement of the Brand goals across all areas of the business.
  • Take the lead on defining a brand campaign plan across each year, ontlining budgets and ROI against brand, customer insights and company objectives - Accountable brand KPIs and target delivery.
  • Activates the integrated Campaign plan for Business Marketing mapping out audiences, customer journeys and interdependancies to deliver against objecives.
  • Interlock timelines across multiple business areas to insure inputs are available at the right time working closely with operations managers in each area.
  • Resolves barriers to campaign delivery by bringing together key individuals and driving alignment on approach
  • Sets quality gates and KPIs that define the success the activity.
  • Accountable for overall campaign performance and on time, on target delivery.
  • Support and drive stakeholder engagement with Sales, commercial and service teats helping to maximise effectiveness
  • Be the key interface into our Group insights function and own the customer insights that drives both brand and campaign strategy, including how personas support the wider teams activation plans.
  • Holds to account external partners and agencies
  • Represent BT Business' brand strategy internally – sharing plans and results & gaining buy in from key senior stakeholders

Skills and Experience

  • Brand management: A strong understanding of the techniques to increase the perceived value of a brand over time
  • Communications: Ability to translate strategic goals and intent into easy to understand language
  • Great cross functional collaborator: Ability to quickly establish credibility, build strong working relationships and influence outcomes with your stakeholders i.e. Propositions, Partnerships, Technical, Marketing
  • Proven ability in making things happen: translate solutions into creation and delivery of practical and workable marketing plans that have a commercial / business impact.
  • Flexibility: Able to deal with ambiguity, identify resources to implement and determine pragmatic solutions rapidly/in the moment
  • Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)
  • Data and analytics – Confident analysing data related to customer insights and drivers & brand success and reporting this with recommendations and insights that are actionable, whilst optimising future activity

Experience we would like to see

  • Previous experience working in a B2B role – within a marketing team
  • Experience of managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders and vendors
  • Data and analytics – confident analysing data related to social and reporting this with recommendations and insights that are actionable, whilst optimising future activity
  • Commercial expertise – ability to understand BT commercial objectives and drivers, and ensure the brand strategy delivers against these

PREFERRED:

  • Brand expertise – experience in leading brand campaigns and developments, fluent in brand metrics and strategy
  • Industry knowledge – familiarity with telco/tech industry including trends, terminology and target audiences
