Why this job matters

The Account Manager orchestrates and leads the execution of the account strategy, managing 1-3 key global accounts in the industries vertical as part of a global team. This role builds and sustains executive level relationship, leads and manages the overall account and delivers on customer satisfaction.

Your accountabilities

  • Build and own the holistic customer/BT plans for a small group of strategic global customers detailing critical insights and new business opportunities
  • Maintain influential network relationships both internally and externally, to maximise opportunities to successful closure and handover.
  • Build foundations to develop successful and sustainable long-term business relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify new tactical sell opportunities & create pipeline that will result in both short- and longer-term business success.
  • Develop strong, proactive account plans that summarise strategy and action.
  • To seek innovative ways to expand new services and initiatives across the accounts.
  • Utilise portfolio change and additions to engage with organisations and create customer conversations.
  • Prioritise keeping sales data current and accurate in Salesforce to ensure business and customer accuracy

Skills required for the job

  • Sales Drive and Achievement Orientation - You enjoy talking to new clients and understanding their issues and are able to build a business case with them.
  • Commercial Analytics and Technology Adoption. Identify patterns in data and leverage technical tools proactively without hesitation.
  • Personalisation and Value Creation. Build rapport and tailor messages which tap into customer needs that align to Why BT.
  • Collaboration and Inspiring Customer Confidence. Work as one team with our customers and build real partnerships and trusted relationships.
  • Simplifying and Conveying Complex Information. Making life easier for our customers by truly understanding their needs and providing solutions to their strategic business priorities.
  • Sales Adaptability, Resilience and Agility. Manage change and stay productive under pressure over a period of time consistently.
  • Commercial Creativity. Act on strategic opportunities and be innovative in securing new business. Be bold, challenge the status quo and take action to attain the desired outcomes.
