You will provide explanations to clients, brokers and intermediaries and keep them informed of the status of claims in a timely manner throughout the lifecycle of the claim. You will handle claims within agreed terms and SLAs and apply the company reserving policy and and liaise with the actuaries and underwriters, as well as the Head of Reinsurance Claims and Claims Manager in strategy and setting case reserves, including IBNR.

You will ensure the circumstances of all claims/losses are fully investigated, including identifying and following up on any standard policy conditions and exclusions to be satisfied as to the validity of the claim as to liability and quantum, and where necessary, negotiate the effective resolution of a claim. You will liaise with brokers on deficiencies in loss information provided and take steps to identify avenues for recovery from third parties through contribution and/or subrogation.
