What you’ll be doing
You’ll join our friendly and welcoming Finance Operations team in this Assistant Investment Accountant position, responsible for cash matching, cash and security reconciliation, reviewing and reporting of the Brit entities and Group’s investment portfolio.
As someone keen to climb the finance ladder, you may have already begun study toward ACCA or similar qualification or may simply have a keen interest in investment products and accounting treatment thereon, with a desire to study for professional qualification and take this to the next level.
You’ll certainly fully utilise your advanced Excel skills along with any experience coding and building models. You’ll be involved with monthly preparation, posting and reconciliation of investment accounting within all source and reporting systems as well the management and delivery of key tasks for Brit Group reporting to Fairfax delivering accurate reporting, analysis and supplementary schedules. Additionally, you’ll compile and deliver key regulatory returns within the Group including the QAD and AAD to Lloyd’s under Solvency II.
