Content Operations Engineer - (India, Bangalore)

The Role

The Product Content Team is looking for a DevOps engineer to maintain, build, and support the sites, tools, technology, and CI/CD pipeline that the Content team uses to create, automate, and publish documentation on the help and community sites. If you have a keen eye for automating processes and workflows, have experience working in a CI/CD environment, and are interested in owning the operations of a technical content team, then this may be the right role for you.

This role requires overlap with US East Coast time till 4pm.

Essential requirements

• Experience writing scripts to reduce complexity, and help with things like automation, migration, and publication.

• Experience working with React to create interactive web pages.

• Experience with command line tools, Markdown, CSS, HTML5, Python, or JavaScript.

• Experience setting up & working with static site generators like Docusaurus, Hugo, etc.

• Attention to good UI/UX design.

• Know your way around git-based source code repos, such as Bitbucket.

• Experience collaborating with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders for various tools and tech, demos, proof of concept, proposals, and onboarding.

• Big plus - if you have worked with content teams to implement a docs-as-code approach (static site generator-git-ci/cd pipeline-publish to website). You know the different tools, tech, & automation needed, and can set up & maintain the docs-as-code framework.

What you'll do at Boomi

• Set up and maintain a react-based static site generator

• Implement designs on the help site using react.

• Maintain the content CI/CD pipeline and publishing process, tools, and sites.

• Work with technical content creators to understand and support their needs of tools, CMS, automation, and publishing.

• Take ownership of the entire toolchain from content creation till publication, and identify and implement related tools and framework. You'll provide technical guidance and vision for the team's content tooling ecosystem.

• You'll help scale and automate content and create solutions that solve for accessibility, localization, and multiple devices.

• Prototype, build, and test content systems and features for our Help Center.

• Identify opportunities to improve tools & automation.

• Serve as the PoC for tooling & publishing vendors and procurement.
