The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What You Will Do

As a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.

You will:

• Be an active member of an Agile team, collaboratively designing and implementing features for the Connector SDK through the software development lifecycle

• Guide and participate in design, development and unit testing of the Boomi products including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported

• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues

The Experience You Bring

• 3+ years hands on experience on Java, Advanced Java, JUnit, CI/CD, Lavender, Source Control Systems

• Ability to take well-defined designs and convert that into a working software, contribute meaningfully to larger systems under the guidance of senior engineers

• Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with minimal training and on-the-job experience

• Experience in software architecture design and development, including the use of some IDE with a solid understanding of object-oriented design concepts for delivering and maintaining a software product

• Experience with agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence

• Experience with Web Services technologies including REST, SOAP, and WSDL

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience using Linux/Unix environments

• Knowledge of Boomi Connector SDK and Custom Connector Building experience

• Understanding of Application Integration and/or Data Integration (ETL)

• Experience designing well-defined Restful APIs, API documentation tools like openAPI, testing tools like Postman and SOAP UI

• Experience using Devops and build tools like Harness, Jenkins, Maven and other CI/CD tools

• Familiarity with highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems

• Familiarity using AWS technologies such as Cloudformation, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2

• Familiarity with SQL, relational database systems, and ORM tools like Hibernate

• Hands-on exp using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor or AWS Q

Compensation and Benefits

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our Vancouver hub ranges from $105,000 - $132,000 CAD annually + applicable bonus. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
