About the role
The Global Strategy, Planning and Corporate Development Team is part of the CEO’s Office and is responsible for creating and delivering our corporate strategy. The team works closely with various departments to ensure the strategy is well communicated and executed throughout the business.
Your main task will be to support the development and implementation of the Integrated Strategic Business Plan (ISBP). This involves gathering and analysing external market data, customer information, and competitor trends alongside internal company data. The insights you create will help shape the Group’s overall strategy. You'll also play a role in our annual and five-year budgeting processes and help identify new opportunities for investment, partnerships, or mergers and acquisitions.
This is a high-profile role that will give you significant insight into the company’s decision-making process. You will collaborate with senior leadership, providing analysis to help them make informed strategic choices. Success in this role will require discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
In terms of location, we can support Global/remote working, you must be prepared to travel to BMT offices on occasion, which may be overseas, as and when required.
About you
In this role, you will analyse customer needs, competitors, and our position in the market. To succeed, you’ll need to:
- Combine multiple data sources and make them accessible for analysis.
- Develop and present corporate insights in a clear, concise manner, tailored to your audience.
- Work independently, developing effective and repeatable processes.
- Collaborate with others in the team and across the business.
- Pay close attention to detail and respond quickly to challenges.
- Support the team in achieving its overall objectives.
- Represent the team at meetings with senior stakeholders.
Essential Skills:
- Confidence in engaging with others and presenting your findings in various formats.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to handle large amounts of information and make clear recommendations.
- A solid understanding of business strategy to help prioritise important information, including market trends, customer insights, competitors, and technology developments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being flexible and adaptable in a small team environment.

We are looking for someone to join our team who can understand and prioritise vast amounts of information to make concise recommendations for our business development team and senior leadership.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently with oversight, requiring a level of autonomy and flexibility due to our small team dynamic. Understanding business strategy is crucial to identify key market trends, customer insights, competitor analysis, and technological advancements.
Ideally, candidates will have a background as an analyst with education qualifications in business, economics, finance, or other strategic disciplines. While specific qualifications are desirable, we are open to providing training for the right candidate.
