About the role
The BMT UK & Europe Capability team is the home for all our customer facing professional teams, covering a wider variety of capability, from engineers to naval architects to safety consultants and management consultants. As a consultancy our people are our key asset, and the work they produce is our key output. The Capability Support function supports the capability teams to ensure quality is maintained and can assist in the administration of complex projects.
As a Capability Support Partner your focus is primarily in support of the production of deliverables, bids, and proposals (ensuring compliance with BMT QA procedures or customer requirements as appropriate). The role can also include meeting support (minute/note taking), co-ordination of memberships, subscriptions etc, support to Capability Management & Technical Assurance (auditing administration etc).
This is a varied role which will allow you to develop and use your skills to support project delivery in a busy consultancy environment. You will join a small and supportive team, who are known for their friendly and proactive approach.
This is a part time role, ideally 22.5hours per week, based out of our Office in Bath and while we're happy to explore flexible and home working arrangements, some office attendance would be desirable. There may be some occasional travel required in the role.
About you
We are looking for a new team member who is committed to providing first class support, who is self-motivated and who can respond flexibly to changing business needs and responsibilities.
You will be fully conversant with MS office (particularly MS Word) and be able to provide support with the production and checking of deliverables, bids and proposals. As such, you will have experience of proof reading, checking and editing of technical documentation. We welcome your attention to detail and producing high quality work that is right first time.
You will be an experienced meeting minute taker and organiser, ideally with experience of taking technical meeting minutes, including design reviews.
You will interact with a range of stakeholders, across all levels of the business and externally too, so your strong interpersonal and communication skills are key; as is your ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
Your organisational and time management skills mean that you will be comfortable managing multiple and competing priorities to ensure business deliverables are achieved.
Missing skills? Let us be the judge! BMT are passionate about people; we recognise that technology moves quickly and that no one can learn everything, which is why we seek those who can adapt and demonstrate the aptitude to learn. With enthusiasm and the right attitude, we can help you discover your potential.
The successful candidates will need to hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK security clearance at SC level.
