Job Description

About the Role

  • This is an individual-contributor role combining regional event planning with hands-on operational delivery, vendor management, budget stewardship, lead-capture coordination and performance measurement. The role ensures that event investments are aligned with EMEA business priorities and integrated campaign plans, while delivering a consistent, compliant and high-quality customer experience. The Events & Tradeshow Manager serves as the EMEA events and congresses point of contact and works closely with regional portfolio and segment marketers, Sales, Commercial Excellence, campaign activation, content marketing, scientific and medical experts, country and hub teams, Global Marketing, procurement, agencies, event organizers and approval stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the integrated EMEA events and congresses calendar, ensuring visibility of strategic regional, global and priority local activities.
  • Partner with portfolio, segment, sales and country teams to assess event opportunities, define objectives and prioritize participation based on strategic relevance, customer needs, campaign alignment, resource requirements and expected business impact.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of approximately 40 EMEA events and congresses annually (small to major), together with priority local events and EMEA support for selected global programs.
  • Develop event activation plans covering sponsorship deliverables, booth experience, scientific and commercial content, demonstrations, staffing, customer meetings, pre-event promotion, onsite engagement, lead capture and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate logistics including contracts, exhibition space, booth design and build, equipment, product and material shipments, storage, travel, accommodation, badges, services, staffing plans and onsite schedules.
  • Select, brief and manage event agencies, booth builders, logistics providers, venues and other suppliers; monitor timelines, quality, risk, sustainability, cost and delivery performance.
  • Manage the assigned EMEA event budget, including annual planning, estimates, purchase processes, negotiation, commitment tracking, invoice reconciliation, budget forecasting and optimization of shared assets and resources.
  • Create repeatable event toolkits, timelines, checklists, briefing templates and operating standards that improve consistency and efficiency across EMEA.
  • Coordinate event-related content and creative requirements ensuring consistent messaging, brand application and customer experience with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the post events debriefs with internal stakeholders.
  • Define lead-capture requirements with the Omnichannel specialists; oversee onsite capture, data-quality checks, SFDC campaign alignment, handovers to hubs and timely follow-up from Salespeople.
  • Ensure event participation complies with internal policies and applicable legal, regulatory, privacy, promotional, health-and-safety, sustainability and organizer requirements.
  • Act as the EMEA interface for Global Marketing and global event teams, supporting global events hosted in the region and sharing the EMEA calendar, requirements and regional insights.
  • Define event KPIs and lead post-event reviews covering participation, engagement, lead volume and quality, follow-up, campaign contribution, budget performance and lessons learned.
  • Use event performance, stakeholder feedback and operational learning to recommend portfolio, investment and process improvements for future cycles.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in event marketing, congress management, field marketing or customer-engagement programs in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple events across countries, including complex congresses, trade shows, roadshows or customer programs.
  • Strong project-management capability, with evidence of managing interdependent workstreams, deadlines, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing event budgets, purchase processes, cost tracking and supplier negotiation.
  • Experience coordinating lead capture, post-event follow-up and event reporting in collaboration with Sales and marketing operations teams.
  • Ability to work effectively across global, regional and local teams in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) are highly desirable.
